Guatemala, Grandfather and God (by Cole Ziegler)

Every year for about as long as I can remember my Grandfather has been going on mission trips to Guatemala with the Savior’s Sons mission group. I had wanted to go with him several times but I was too little. The trip is usually in July and my Grandmother passed away in June so it was tough for us to make it but he invited me to go with him this year so I rushed to get a passport and shots.

Meagan’s Thoughts

With beaten, broken hearts we laid it all down for all to see.  The prosecution of Judgement was never applied.  We’re all in it together now, using the shoulders of peers to pour down on, the consistent grasp of hands to hold onto for community.  The act of revolution is here and the Holy Spirit has gracefully entered.  All as one we will gather with one another, carry it on, persist in the brother hood and sisterhood as we were all meant to do.  It was here all along, now that we’ve realized the beauty of this blessing, it shall never end but only grow as it was intended to.

Hey guys my name is Clayton Lowell and I am going public! 

I have grown up in the church and I have been to church almost every Sunday.  But I guess I truly understood what going to church meant at Edge camp this year.  If anybody knew me at school, they would honestly think that I had never been to church in my life. 

Matthew’s Edge Memories

Edge camp 07 was the most amazing trip i have ever been on. Matt Carter was one of the most amazing speakers i have ever heard, and Rush Of Fools was also one of the best worship bands i have ever heard.  Well, on the last night we were supposed to have a dance but Bob decided we should have a worship service instead.  Everyone got up and said what was on their mind, and everyone was crying.  It was one of the most amazing experiences i have ever had. It moved everyone that was there closer to God.  Edge camp was the most amazing experience I have ever had and i can’t wait to go again next year.

Dealing with Loss (by Margie McGregor)

So I think I’m going to go with Whitney’s approach and tell a personal story about how God came into my life.  SO!  This is how it went down…   

So less than a year ago my mom and I were spending A LOT of time in Dallas taking care of her parents (my grandparents).  My grandmother had about every type of cancer you can think of, she smoked for two thirds of her life, and had so much chemo and other treatments done she was pretty much not with us anymore. 

Meredith’s Edge

This summer will be one that I never will forget!  Edge camp 07 was one amazing trip.  This was my 4th Edge and I was just thinking, oh this will just be another fun week at Edge to be able to get away from my normal life style and just have a good time at church camp.  I wasn’t all that excited about going, but I was going anyways!

Meagan’s Summer: Freedom in Forgiveness

So this summer for me was an eye-opening, jaw-dropping, and heart-changing summer! Well my summer sorta began with doubting myself, no confidence,  and struggles within me. I had just realized that the people i called my friends didnt respect me like i did them. I was doing the worng things to my self thinking..”oh this will solve everything” and at that point in my life it did. but then about a month into summer i went on MISSION MEXICO 2007. while i was there i talked with people from the chruch. and it solved alot of things for me. but i still wasn’t complete…

Carly’s New Confidence

Well this summer has pretty much been the most eye opening and life changing period of my life. Going into Edge Camp I was expecting nothing more than a couple days of escape from my normal life and playing awesome games (i.e. Wheel Steal). I realized during our first nighttime worship that I was in for an amazing couple of days.
